A Bear & Bison Inn

We decided to have our wedding at A Bear and Bison Inn and it was one of the best decisions we could have made. Being from out of province, the process of organizing a wedding all via email required a lot of coordination and trust and these guys pulled it off with incredible ease. Thanks to their vendor recommendations and efficient planning there was minimal stress leading up to our wedding day. On the weekend of, they took care of and coordinated everything for us so that all we had to do was enjoy the time together. It also helps that the food was phenomenal. If you want to book a stress free wedding with a beautiful venue and amazing food, this is the place to do it. Thank you for an amazing weekend Brooke, Barb, Lonny, and all the other staff that took care of us and our family. We can’t wait to return for a future anniversary visit.

Very nice. Beautiful mountain views absolutely stunning. The room was very clean and everything was spotless. We enjoyed the hot tub, which was a great way to relax. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again.

We had an incredible wedding weekend at A Bear & Bison Inn in February! We rented out the entire inn so both our families could stay together (20 of us total), and we'd recommend this to anyone else who's planning a smaller wedding. The inn is rustic, cozy, and authentic, making it the perfect space to spend time in the mountains with family and friends. The service, responsiveness, and professionalism from the entire team at the inn were impeccable! They ensured the entire weekend went smoothly, and they created such a charming and relaxing environment. It truly felt like a rustic yet luxurious retreat. And the food was AMAZING - every single one of our guests was raving about the food the whole weekend. We had the perfect day thanks to the Bear and Bison Inn!

My wife and I recently had our wedding here and to say it was perfect would be an understatement. We had stayed at the inn several times previously and loved it each time so it made it an easy venue choice for us. The overall atmosphere was fantastic and Brooke, Barb & Lonny were so helpful and answered the many questions we had throughout the process promptly and professionally. The quality of the food served for all meals was outstanding, all of our guests also mentioned it. Can’t thank you guys enough for the best few days and making our wedding so special.

We had an amazing 3 night stay at this charming B&B for our son's wedding. The staff was very attentive to our needs. We were lucky enough to rent out the entire building and were able to relax and enjoy our time in Canmore. The 3 course breakfast was the perfect start to each day. Their custom blend coffee and house made granola were delicious. The rooms are somewhat dated but that truly adds to the charm. Convenient to town without the congestion that comes with being near the city center. Annette was the person we interacted with the most and she is a true gem. She was so warm and friendly, always making sure we had everything we needed for the day. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Canmore.

This place is so cute, my partner and I stayed here over Christmas for an absolutely amazing winter wonderland experience. We loved everything from the delicious breakfast delivered right to our rooms, the secluded outdoor guest hot tub, the en-suite jetted tub in our room, and lots more. You can tell lots of thought and care has gone into all aspects of not just the guest experience but also the decor throughout the inn. It's everything you could want with an additional absolutely breathtaking mountain setting just outside. My partner and I are both vegetarians, with one of us having a distaste for mushrooms, and our dietary preferences were accounted for without any issues. The vegetarian meals we received were absolutely delicious. This is the perfect place for a couple's getaway, it's so cute and cozy. The location is also great for the local skiing mountains, sightseeing, and only a 30 minute drive from Banff with lots of shopping opportunities. If you want a stay in the area that's more than just a room to sleep in but an incredibly enjoyable experience book your stay at The Bear and Bison.

10/10 Location, 10/10 room, 10/10 Breakfast. We were greeted this January by the owner, who was exceedingly friendly, welcoming, and shared his amazing life story with us. We opted for a ground floor room and it was perfect for our stay; it was newly renovated, cozy, and tastefully decorated. Speaking of tasty… the breakfast was simple, yet very inclusive, with great variety and depth. Aswell WiFi was fast (Over 300 mbps) just what I needed since I was working on a Monday. The outdoor hot tub location/jetted hot tube in room were clean cut, and really nice touches despite not using them. The only thing that could have made this stay better was if my fiancee and I could have spent two nights! Cheers!
